Join us on August 15, 2020, 9:00-11:00 AM as PhilFutures collaborates with the Millennium Project to launch the 64th Millennium Project Node in the Philippines.
Millennium Project Philippines connects think tanks of futurists, scholars, business planners, decision-makers, experts, and policymakers to build the country’s foresight capacity to improve the prospects of building a better future. The Millennium Project is a global foresight network of nodes sharing information and network via a global futures intelligence system that supports the development of a strong but agile futures research and collective intelligence capacity.
China, South Korea, South Africa, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, Mexico, and Turkey are among the countries with national SOFIs along with some in Latin America, Central Europe, and North America.
The MP Philippines Node aims to build the Futures research capacity of the country and develop and publish the Philippines State of the Future Philippines Index (National SOFI) to measure the changing state of the country’s future.
The Millennium Project is a global participatory think tank established in 1996 under the American Council for the United Nations University that became independent in 2009 and has grown to 63 (now 94) Nodes around the world (an MP Node is a group of institutions and individuals the connect local and global perspectives) co-founded by its current Director and CEO Jerome C. Glenn.
