Cambodia’s A na kuth 2050
A na kuth, which means future in Khmer, was the focus of the three-day Integrative Futures Literacy and Strategic Visioning Workshop for Cambodia Youth Vision 2050 attended by 21 youth leaders from all over the country. The workshop was conducted at the United Nations Development Program office in Phnom Penh. The future is good, in fact blissful, according to the youth of Cambodia.
The workshop aimed to uncover the youth participants’ initial anticipatory assumptions about the future and challenged them to question and unlearn these futures to enable them to imagine alternative and transformed preferred futures of Cambodia 2050.
Four preferred futures of Cambodia visions stood out from the three-day futures literacy and strategic innovation workshop organized by UN Cambodia in partnership with the Director-General for Youth of the Royal Government of Cambodia. Shermon Ortega Cruz, the chief futurist of the Center for Engaged Foresight led and facilitated the workshop with Shiela R Castillo, CEF Futures Learning Advisor.
