The Compassionate Code at the University of Sunshine Coast Futures Collective

How do you grow a good AI mindset? How might you embed and evolve a truthful, inclusive, plural AI futures? What if AI can be turbocharged with cognition, imagination, and creativity? What might that look like? What are the alternative AI futures in Asia? CEF Futures Learning Advisor Ms. Peachie Dioquino Valera awesomely deconstructed these questions and presented her piece on AI futures “The Compassionate Code” at the University Sunshine Coast Australia Futures Collective. Peachie’s talk brings into view plural and multiple domains of Artificial intelligence and unpacks the many unconscious dimensions of AI development like ethics, accountability, and spirituality!

The USC Collective had a pretty incisive polylogue that discussed systemic, worldview, and metaphor levels of AI futures. It was pretty informative, deep, insightful, and meaningful! Peachie presented a similar piece at the Asia Pacific Futures Network Technology Plenary Session with speakers from the Asian Development Bank, Might Malaysia, and Techistential. The recorded video of her speech will be available soon. CEF plans to share a report and brief on AI futures, ethics, accountability, and compassion soon! The session was moderated by Dr. Marcus Bussey, head of the history and futures at the University of Sunshine Coast. Futurists and foresight practitioners from Australia and the Philippines attended the session.
